How does this all work?
UV light systems are often paired with water softeners that cancel out hard minerals in the water. Water is filtered through the water softening system before it moves through a sediment prefilter. The bacteria, fungi, protozoa and other living organisms in the water are then exposed to a certain wavelength of UV light to eliminate the waterborne organisms according to a set intensity.
